  Re: Sensor monitoring

(...) I got around to looking at two inputs at the same time with a dual trace scope. All of the inputs go into the 5V read at the same time! That doesn't say they are read by the uP at the same time, but the switch between power and read and back (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: AC Adapter Specs?

I believe that you should, indeed, be wary of oversizing an AC adapter. The simple "wall cube" is unregulated and typically employs a "just-big- enough" transformer. Voltage under light loading rises considerably above nominal, and poses a threat of (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Model Team #5571 Monster Big Rig for sale

Anyone interested in this set? I had it sold on eBay for 143.50 and the bidder can't be reached. Would be willing to sell complete for 135.00 or without wheels and tires for 105.00. If no offers by tomorrow it will be relisted on eBay. Thanks Barry (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  a chip question

in the business that im at (ok a tv station) sometimes we find chips (left in boxes and such) that we have absolutely no idea what they are for, recently i found a chip "N82S100N K84" I suspect its from Signetics which i am told has merged with (...)   Re: Communicating with Cybermaster not easy

Sten, your problem is probably the following: you need to send the complement of the checksum as well, so the complete packet would look like this: 0x55 0xFF 0x00 0x10 0xEF 0x10 0xEF (...) -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: slightly off topic: two questions (one of them for EE types)

(...) You should talk to Larry Pieniazek, he's the train nut :) Anyway, i heard him say that he had his RCX drive a train no problem. I expect the biggest problem would be battery life, and I'm not quite sure the RCX can deliver quite as much a (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Evil Apllication of IR Port :>

I found while playing with the IR Radar that you can: Jam IR circuits on ANY IR controlled device. You can't use any remotes or anything, the logic circuits are busy interpreting the signal you are sending. This works on the same principal as the TV (...)   Re: Using motors without a power source.

If I understand what you are doing then: Think about the efficiency (or actually lack of ) in using this method. Just how inefficient are the Lego motors? as generators? Put a load on those motors and see if they still turn. Drive all the motors (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
