Yeah. I have to agree with Ross. Increased unix-ness would be nice, but additional complexity with no actual performance gain most definitely is not. I've been thinking of this for awhile, and I have a possible solution. I have made the coupler swing left and right as the truck swings. This keeps the coupler in position whether pulling or pushing and whether on straight track or curves. I used (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

I had a great idea. I'm not sure if anyone has done this before, but I have found a way to make one motor drive four (or more) axles, individually!
