Off topic [was Re: is Mindstorm/RCX Y2K Compliant???)

(...) The most likely scenario is that so many people are in such a tizzy about Y2K that there will be runs on banks throughout the civilized world before the end of the year, causing total economic collapse. Ignorance, not computer bugs, are the (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: is Mindstorm/RCX Y2K Compliant???

(...) It's a microcontroller. Therefore it has an internal clock. Therefore it can suffer from Y2K, if it hasn't been removed. (...) No it's not. We're not even close to getting everything away. How do you think we will fare if the world's (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Seeking Strategies on Humanoid Robots/Walkers  [DAT]

(...) I seem to recall that noone has succesfully solved the problem of artificial biped locomotion even in traditional robotics, let alone within the constraints of LEGO. Basically, what you need is a system that can sense very delicate shifts in (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: FLASHING LIGHT ON LCD PANEL?

So using the Lego software I ran a small prg that reset all the variables. I still have that flashing quarter circle. do I need to reset it in NQC? and if so a sample code might help.   Re: LOGO with Mindstorms

(...) Are the exotic sensors (rotation temperature, as described in the RCX program thing) available yet? if so in which sets, or is it just at Dacta? Jasper. (27 years ago, 18-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Speculation: Monorail, Disney, Past Coincidence?

If we suppose that Disney and (for our purposes) TLG are monitoring sites on the net such as James' webpage, I think we (trainiacs) should come up with some sort of top 10 or 20 list to make known beyond a doubt what TLG can produce which will (...) (27 years ago, 18-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

  RE: RCX 2.0 -- ideas.

(...) Actually I'd be happy with just some Lego resistors, a 2X1 plate with the two studs as contacts and a resistor between them :) 100% pure multiplexed touch sensors Oh well. -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (27 years ago, 18-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX 2.0 -- ideas.

(...) Whereas I have lost it several times form turning the RCX off.. a real pain. Jasper (27 years ago, 18-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
