  Employment site

Here's an interesting employment site with several LEGO job listings. I found it on (URL) wonder why they don't post job listings to LUGNET? Todd- how about lugnet.lego.jobs? (URL) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.announce)

Re: Download from Notebook on Windows 2000

Fred, I used dl in full screen mode as you suggested and successfully downloaded the pcode interpreter. I haven't actually tried to load an IC program yet, but at least I'm heading in the right direction. (I forgot your advice about throwing away (...)   Re: Tiger Prediction

(...) There will be a Scala set with two bear cubs, so they'll be just about the same size as the minifig polar bears. See them: (URL) . Alan (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.adventurers)

best train set for starting out

I've been a Technic fan for a long time and am now looking to get into getting some of the Lego train sets. Could anyone recommend which sets might be the best one to buy starting out. I was thinking one of the larger main sets along with some extra (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Concerns with Racial Attitudes and Lego

(...) I've posted my experience on this a number of times: curiously there's rarely a response.   So when's the next meeting?

Subject says it all. I think we should try to nail down a specific date and time. The sooner I find out about the date the better the chance I can make it. I'd also be willing to act as a host. I live in New City in Rockland County, NY (about 5-10 (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.us.gardenslug)

Hi all, don't know if any of you have noticed, but Toy City ((URL) to have gone down the tube. :( Well at least I got to use my £10 voucher. Ben (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: How many used to do this when building?

I STILL do this as I have a bunch of old bricks. This is especially true when stacking 1x1's or 1x2's. These seem particularly likely to have the mark on the side rather than top. David Simmons <xenobuzz@onemain.com> wrote in message (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: How many used to do this when building?

(...) On the space sets, I was never that concerned about looks. I guess the Star Wars movies got me used to thinking of spaceships as something that got kicked around and beat up a bit when used. Now, if I was going to build a spaceship-dealer's (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Minifig Gun Rifle (part# 30141?)

(...) I'm working on a DAT file for this piece. I haven't gotten a finished version, yet, though. I was unaware of anyone else working on it also. Hope this helps. Thanks, Franklin (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Body Armor

There's also a very cool quasi-armor piece from the UFO space line, kind of like football pads, but wicked looking. I found these after buying a UFO clearance set from Zany Brainy for the big saucer sections (making a rotunda). After some careful (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Body Armor

(...) Well, there was also the CLASSIC Classic castle "body armor" piece that came with some of the earliest sets, like yellow castle as seen here: (URL) piece is less like a breastplate and more like a tabard, though. Tony (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: best train set for starting out

(...) Best set to start with, of the current sets, would be a 4565. Get a extra box of straight track, and a box of switches, and ask one of us for a controller. I'm not sure, but I think if you ask nicely, you might be able to get the set for a (...) (26 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Concerns with Racial Attitudes and Lego
