  R: Legofest VI, seconda puntata

Re: 108V Spark-Generating Contraption

(...) Be careful, AA batteries can generate enough current to kill. A safer way to even higher voltages is to use a transformer. Jürgen (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) Ok, I'm impressed! Thanks Pete. So what's that Gungan Sub worth? Doesn't look to be as good a set for parts as the Sith Infiltrator but I've now got hubby interested in the SW sets! :) Deidre drb@tasmail.com (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Aha!! Interesting! OK, hmm, so, OK, can we back up a bit? So, what you're saying (taking both of your posts into account) is that: 1. The official name of the LEGO product line in Australia is "LEGO Football" and not "LEGO Soccer," and 2. (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.loc.au)

Police sets for sale in one lot - cheap (Police lot)

  Re: Minifigu scale U-boat

Wow!.. Very, very nice. I really like these real life models having nice detail job. By the way, while browsing your web site I saw a very strange picture on page (URL) is the page about?..:-) I smell something quite funny but I don't know (...) (26 years ago, 7-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: DAT: Technic Liftarm 1 x 5 (wide)

This part looks good to me! Thanks for your work. Before you submit it, though, I'd like to ask you to reposition it so that it is centered in the origin. Compare it with the part 32017.DAT. Your part should have the same insertion point, in my (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: DAT: Technic Liftarm 3 x 5 L-shaped

Wow, I've never seen this part before. What set is it from? The 8448? Or the Dark Side Developer? Anyway, I agree with your choice of insertion point and orientation, since it is consistent with the other bent liftarms in LDraw. Fredrik (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Instructions for trade?

I have just put together a list of instructions that I have for trade, ideally I would like to trade for other instructions etc, although am open to selling if thats the only option? A lot of them are either new or in very good condition, some have (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Help wanted with old UK catalogue [long and contains most text/in fo from it.]

Ben, You just described the UK 1966 Catalogue. AFAIK it was available free from toy shops from approx April 66, but was not included in any sets (except _maybe_ 050 and 060); hence it is one of the more difficult to find.   Re: SCORE!

(...) Hm, that one too--but I was thinking of one specifically under discussion in .loc.au, or was that to be appended to Eric's? best Lindsay (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.org.us.gardenslug)

  Re: Question on two sets(5571-8448)

(...) Yeah the Super Cars are too big in relation to 5571. I've always wanted to make an auto carrier trailer for 5571 using pneumatics to lower/raise the upper level, but I doubt I'm good enough to do so. So whoever thinks they can build one, go (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Star Wars value pack @ Target

Well.. as I recall Jorge did say he works at Target in the toy area... I wouldn't expect if he works there that he'd make it up.... *8) I just wish "ye olde bugdet" had room to include picking this up.. hopefully it'll stay around a while... a lot (...) I'd always been under the impression that the grade of coal in the exposed seams wasn't quite up to RN standards (they only want the best anthracite, have to keep that smoke down to a minimum!)--but I may be wrong, because I'm going off the (...)   Re: Dwindling inventory marked down by 50% at Brickbay

(...) I wish I'd been able to get my site up and running, but I can't do the trickle-in parts sales--it had to be eBay for me this time around. However, once I"m back...muhaha etc. (...) Interesting--lately they've only been pulling in $90. A (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: GPSP -- $22.45

(...) Gungan Sub's RRP is about $135. TRU usually has it for a bit less, KMart regularly has it (and the Mos Espa Podrace) for 50% of RRP (if you can still find one there). James found the Sub at Target for $37.45, which is unbelievably good value (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.org.au)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

I've done that exactly that. It was almost finished about one year ago. I used a CyberMaster. I lost all the sources when the partitions in my hard disk gone kaput. I'm almost certain I've made a backup in a diskette, but it seems to have gone also, (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

(...) Yes. (...) Yup, it's soccer. Football possibly refers to Rugby in some parts of Aus, but generally football refers to AFL which is a different game altogether. (...) Yes, but I don't think Lego Australia think for themselves in matters such as (...) (26 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.loc.au)
