Now here you can see a container-to-robot example. (URL) model has a nice transforming mechanism. But it had to be in length of 11 studs instead of 12 because there are elbow hinges sticking out longitudinal... (26 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Paul, Nope, just standard old-style hinge plates. These old-style hinge plates do attach to segmenst that are at 45 degree angle. These angles are created by use of click hinges. So I guess the answer is technically no, the flaps are attaches with (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.space)
