  Re: another LEGO Mosaic

(...) Thanks Eric! It actually looks much better in real life - the colors are more vibrant than the poor lighting seems to indicate. As for making one of me .... hmmm, I'm tempted to hold out - I'd rather look at her face then my own, any day! ;) (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: rotation sensor problem (different one this time)

(...) Nope, just rotation. Well, I can't be sure, since there are no other sensors, but since it is not permanent (i.e., I can still force it to register, just at the wrong times) I doubt I have lost the IRQ. (...) No signals at all. I'll try it (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: BIG update on Bardiel website

Ever consider cross-posting to building.arch? :) That thing's got to be bigger than most people's towns. I like the roomy A-wing bay. I'm surprised you haven't given in to using baseplates for flooring in there, though; plates must be at a premium (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  Re: Continuation: HMS Queen

  BrikWars . . . missiles.

Ok, since I am kind of new to this wargaming thing, maybe I am missing something. Why would anyone ever use missiles in BrikWars? Take a compasision between a laser and a missile: MkII Laser 20 CP/20" Rng/2d10+4 exp dmg/unlimited ammo MkIII Warhead (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.fun)

  Re: Lego train basics

(...) I'm talking about trains, silly boy, not what you were thinking of. After all, although 8 wide is "morally wrong"(1), it feels good to you and you do it. What's neat about trains is that there are prototypes for a lot of really weird things, (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: another LEGO Mosaic

(...) Just great! I think I have to do the same with a pic of my girl-friend (or maybe my car?)... Regards, Ben (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Texture Mapping for L-Draw?

(...) If by "Lego CAD type programs", you mean LDraw Compatibel programs, then AFAIK the answer is NO. But I have developed particularly an extension, whixh I intended to propose to the LDraw comunity and it's something like 0 TEX s1 t1 s2 t2 s3 t3 (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Slightly OT - Microsoft Train Simulator

(...) J2 is right again. While the train itself may be famous (but arguably, the Orient Express is more famous) the locomotive is no great shakes, and there were more than one of them, with nothing to make one particular instance stand out (it says (...)   Re: FOTY - Xmas in July

[this should be FUT'ed to somewhere else, but I'm just briefly jumping in, someone else can take the ng-management lead] (...) Good point. There was a very nice discussion about 'what is the soul of a set?' some time ago. (...) Guarded Inn is (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.trains)

  WARNING: non-LEGO Train Joke

Posted w/permission from: (URL) HIS WHISTLE This fellow who had spent his whole life in the desert comes to visit a friend. He'd never seen a train or the tracks they run on. While standing in the middle of the RR tracks one day, he hears this (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lets Vote

(...) Seems like that's been settled. Although it seems unlikely that the card shark would be working *for* Mr. Redshirt. I could see things the other way around, at least on a temporary basis. (...)   Re: MF at etoys.com

(...) What, specifically, did it say they were fined for? ~Mark (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: MF at etoys.com

(...) I prolly hit fire too fast on that, sorry, the fines were for not sticking to the "ship within 30 days or crisply notify buyers" rule that the FTC has in place for all [mail/phone/inet]-order companies, and all were a result of the holiday (...)   Re: No MOTM Entries for August

(...) I don't exactly how this works, but if you take nominations, this lugnet article points to a really great model. I love it! (URL) sommerville (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: another LEGO Mosaic

(...) Thanks Ben! I actually did test it out with a frontal view of my jeep - with a high enough resolution, it was really clear. Unfortunately, by the time the resolution was high enough, the size of the mosaic was immense ... grr, maybe I'll have (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Slightly OT - Microsoft Train Simulator
