slightly OT, but what the hey

(URL) link is an article about a meat-eating robot at USF. Feed it slabs of beef, and e-coli in the "stomach" convert the meat into electricity to power the robot. They talk about the potential for lawnmowers that eat the clippings. Sounds like I (...) (26 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  First meeting of GardenSLUG!

Hi all, I hosted the first meeting of the newly formed GardenSLUG yesterday from 3:00 to about 9:30. It was fun. I was joined by (in order of arrival, I think) Cletus Romano, Andy Lynch, Bianca Nebab, Laurajean Murphy, and Erik Olson. We built from (...)   Re: A General Question About Castle World

Actually, I think Andrew has some valid points. It seems as though that to make a project like CW work smoothly, there needs to be a single "caretaker". Second, there needs to be an "existing" city, or countryside to add onto. Now Shiri brings up a (...) (26 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: BrickBay Shop Open

(...) Ok, I thought that was the reason. I didn't mean to accuse you of trying to circumvent the 2% commission, and I thought you meant that you were in the process of counting your inventory until Larry's message seemed to imply otherwise.   first small error

The tarball has at least one .orig file in it (a leftover from some patches I applied last night.) Ignore them- they shouldn't affect the build at all, and I'll get them out for later.   Can anyone tell me what these are?

Hello everybody, Can anyone tell me what exactly these are? Did Lego ever cooperate with Hallmark Cards and make ornaments? (URL) (26 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Sith Infiltrator 7151 Alternative Model

Great! Thanks for the tip...I just hope they can store the picture in a MAC compatible format. I'm sure there are ways, I'll let everyone know how it worked out. I just gotta get my Imperial Shuttle on the site. Peace, ou (26 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.starwars)
