New Soccer sets at TRU in Canada

TRU in Ottawa, Canada has the new Soccer sets. I saw 3403, 3408, & 3411 there. I picked up the 3411 Team Transport with Bonus LEGO Soccer Ball. It hadd just been put on the shelf and wasn't even in the computer yet. I couldn't pass it up at 20% off. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(Sorry to clutter things here, but mail from me to Derick doesn't appear to be working) Derick, I've responded to 3 of the 4 messages you've sent me this week but you seem to not be receiving them. Your trees will be on their way come Saturday. (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Boston & Maine GP9 Locomotive *(Version 2)*

OK thanks to some very helpful advice I made some significant changes to my Boston & Maine GP9 Bluebird. Its probably best just to see it yourself. I have a write-up on the page as well. (URL) always comments, nits, and criticisms are welcome. Eric (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Just bought the Football sets

(...) Seeing Paul got them at a TRU in Melbourne, I thought they wouldn't be far away. What stock levels did thay have ? (...) If we build a Tangara, we can have Cityrail grandstands ! (...) But the appeal for this goes far wider, even taking into (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: The Making of LEGO bricks, ?s

(...) I have a piece like that, too. On one of my large white Technic wheel hubs, there is a spot that looks like one or two green ABS pellets fell into the white ones. It is kind of swirled around, but not too obvious. I kind of wish it was more (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) labor. (...) you (...) be (...) A solution to the lack of red-coats is to make a French navy. All officers could be in blue, and though I'm not aware of the French equivilant of marines, perhaps a company of voltigeurs with blue coats and red (...)   RE: Lego at coles

Yep, coles the supermarket. Unfortunately, I can't remember the set prices, although I think they were around the same as the prices at K-Mart. Woolworths [safeway in Vic] used to stock the small sets, then went to meccano, and now have tyco(?) (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: VLC Exclusivity - open letter to Dean and Alexandria

The type of meeting you describe falls under our "Public Events" and not "Member Events". Such a public event would be advertised EVERYWHERE possible to inspire growth and attention. However, the initial group of VLC Members decided to have both (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Exclusivity in VLC

(...) At the moment, the space being used is large enough, and yes it's communal-use space on private property. If it becomes too small - which I predict it will quite soon - then we'll need to look for alternatives eg schools, libraries, churches (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Just bought the Football sets

(...) Yep bought them from TRU Parramatta on Thursday night, Didn't check David Jones Though. GB's Target and Kmart didn't have them yet (I could've used my shareholder card at any of those three) but the temptation to get them from TRU was too (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
