Re: A BSB at Port Block

(...) Richard: Is your BSB going to sport Pirate colors or be an instrument of the Government? Mine is still in the box but I plan to give her to the Guards as they do not have any large capital ships and they're going to need one to deal with my (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Sv: translation request (Danish to English)

This is my try of a translation. It is NOT absolutely correct. But it should give you an idea of what it says. It is normal for especially larger companies to participate in these kind of researches for (and with) the Danish government. Also because (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.books)

  Re: Znap

(...) Thanks for the offer, but an apology is not necessary. Besides, I've already got all the Znap I want. Actually, I don't like it that much. I built one model of each of four sets and it was fun, but I don't like it as much as either Lego or (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Just a reminder... Construction Site Castle setup April 30th.

(...) Well I got an E-mail from Crispin. We are good to go on the 30th for the Castle set up. Crispin won't be there but Marc will and he knows we are coming and can help. Crispin did say that they will have to take down the K'Nex display and scrape (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: requests for brad and lego direct

(...) I'm not Brad, but I would not be surprised if all molds are still availble (minus "redesigned" molds, like when they redesigned the round tree to have a taller trunk and rounder endges). Witness the re-introduction of pieces, especially (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: EastCoast Brikfest!!!

(...) An update: at this point it doesn't look like I'll have the money to come. Airfare is expensive, and I'll be going to school in Boston in the fall, so I could be a few hours away for stuff then. As always, donations are accepted ;) Hope you (...)   Re: More inspiration

(...) Thanks for the pointer, Jeremy--that's one fine site! I'd actually never seen pictures of the LK before, and some of those CGIs (especially of the Dyna Soar) are truly inspiring. Now, if only we'd have a proper shuttle windshield...;) best (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

  Mindstorms sighting at Costco

Heads up: I've been waiting to see if Costco (a membership wholesale warehouse akin to Sams Club) would carry any LEGO Mindstorms sets off-season from Christmas. About 30 came in a week or so ago, and priced at $159. So I bought another two. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Elektor Electronics Magazine Article

(...) Yes it is, but only at some newsstands (plus the odd bookstore; my local Bookstar sometimes carries it). It's expensive, though: the newsstand I get it from charges $8.25 for it. If you call around you might just find it. -- Gordon (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Elektor Electronics Magazine Article

(...) I've never seen it here in the USA. I'd _love_ to find a source though. I wrote a programming article for Parallax and they had it published in Elektor in (I think) a four parter, as well as making it part of their Robotics coursework. But, (...)   Re: Elektor Electronics Magazine Article

(...) So that *was* you? I was going to ask, but thought it couldn't be, because the "Dennis Clark" who wrote it used the spelling "behaviour" throughout.   Re: Amazing fire truck

(...) Hey, I'm a 6-8 wide fan myself! I would never build a 4-wide truck in "minifig-scale."
