In your example, you would put the cursor on the first type-2 line in the first edge, set the mark (C-SPC) move down to the first type-2 line in the second curve and hit C-c C-f. Voila. The (...) (...) related. Quite a coincident! Your function takes two (or more) 4-4edge primitives and connects them with quads, to create a "pipe" like object. My function takes two arbitrary connected curves made up of type-2 lines and fills in the space (...) (26 years ago, 2-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
