I like to make original creations that do not exist in real life as an artistic/engineering exercise. This has been somewhat of a hinderence because there is nothing to compare them to. (Unlike almost everything else on Lugnet. I did like the (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

I bought the Model Team 5561 in KMart in Brisbane a few weeks ago, but I think the price was higher, about $69 (or maybe $79). Even at that price, I thought it was a good deal. The 5561's got lots of pieces, so takes a while to build (which is good (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

The capacitor can be used to run lights in a train if you run an RCX to power the rails - that way, the lights will be full brightness. That's assuming the cap has a diode to allow current only one way, otherwise you'd have to add one to the wire (...) (26 years ago, 30-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)
