Re: WTB/WTT: LegoPirate SHip Mast & Rigging Parts

(...) Dave- If you're looking to extend mast base sections, another (cheaper) option is 2x2x11 column pieces from many recent sets (esp. 6097)--I used three on my recent _Gloire_ and it came out splendidly; you can see for yourself here: (URL) also (...)   Re: WTB: Still Hunting Train Doors

(...) No, you're probably right--and even if you're not (gasp!) then if you don't know about it, I'd presume them to be even rarer than train glass. I just need four to six; perhaps I should just buy a Black Thunder somewhere and be done with it. (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Online eProxy services?

(...) Hmmm...so Australians can't be leftists? :) Maybe, since they look at the world upside-down, it's actually the right to them? As it says on my Australia-centered map, "Long live Australia--RULER of the UNIVERSE!" (...) Yeah, but "Baywatch" (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: matching motor speeds on mutli-motor trains

(...) Another way, perhaps not as accurate, but possibly more exciting would be to set up a largish oval of track, with power connection(s) symmetrically positioned. Put the motors back-to-back at one of the power connections, and run the motors (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Lego Direct (was Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!)

(...) When the facts about how reality works are running against you, and you don't want to admit it, go with ad hominem, eh? As I pointed out in .debate, (1)(2) you're in good company. "slithers", "silverback preening", "virility"? I'm sensing a (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego) !

Re: Lego Direct (was Re: Georgia LEGO Outlet is Cool!)

(...) I think its interesting that you feel the need to "retaliate" about something that is actually addressed "Dear-Lego" and concerns the manner in which TLC does business with us fans. You "few" guys are pretty reflexive about this point I am (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: matching motor speeds on mutli-motor trains

(...) That could be a problem, but I wouldn't expect that much wheel slippage (I'd make a SWAG that the power difference which is taken up by wheel slippage would be 5% or less of the total power difference). I'd also wonder how it would compare to (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Cleaning baseplates

(...) The dirt and sawdust will probably come off with a good soak in warm soappy water. You may want to use a brush and scrub a little (if you get vigorous you could damage the painted baseplates, but I haven't noticed any damage). Paint and pen (...) (26 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)
