  Re: Yellow 9v Tracks? !?!?!!!

I don't think it is the lighting. Usually you can recover the colors by adjusting settings for the picture in a program like Photoshop or even Microsoft Photo Editor. I did not succeed in doing so, so my guess is this person PAINTED the tracks (...) (26 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Some traffic for our nesgroup

Yet more traffic for our newsgroup. Well, I finished the airport monorail, and I do like it alot. It is huge! Needless to say, Geoff likes it too. Now I need to build some rescue and safety sets, since there are numerous monorail crashes. Maybe an (...) (26 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

Re: I have these sets but can't find them in the set listings. Help!

(...) OK, a couple of things..... 1) The 2x4 bricks were the mainstain of LEGO in the 50's and 60's. And the predominant colors were red and white. Back in those years buildings were mostly 2 studs thick. No "1x" buildings back then. The 1x1, 1x2, (...) (26 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: US Customs Duties on Lego Shipments from Europe?

I've never been charged anything; the large package of used stuff I got from Germany yesterday was stamped "US Customs Passed Free" or something to that effect. I think I actually looked around the Customs Bureau website awhile back to see if I (...) (26 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: I just held a Lego Show!

(...) Snip I'd love to get all of their stuff. It sounds great. I don't think I can get the school or the PTA to buy any until I look at the lesson plans, and show them how easy and appropriate they would be. I'll buy some of the lesson plans as (...)   Re: Yellow 9v Tracks? !?!?!!!

It is not painted. I took some pictures and they turned out like that as well. You need to use all natural lighting and turn off the flash when photographing Lego. The flash changes the color due to the reflection, as well as the poor color digital (...) (26 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Containers

You could always "accidentally" stick a MegaBlock plate back there. It would be obscured from view and I don't think they have markings on the studs, but maybe they do. (I don't use MB, so I wouldn't know). I know Tyco had blank studs, but their (...) (26 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: Anyone Fancy a Thames Valley Legofest?
