  Re: Blue Station

Sorry to have started a thread on use of "LEGO competitors bricks" with you as the center-piece, Rich. That's quite a solid looking blue station, and BIG. I like the accessibility. later, James Mathis (...) (26 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.general)

New picts: 5-car BOB passenger train

I've worked an update to my likeness of a German BOB passenger train set. Major update is that the train is now a more realistic full-complement train set of 5 cars. Only three cars have wheels. The cars with red doors don't have any wheels; they're (...) (26 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: PayPal bonuses being reduced

Yes, there is a group for this sort of thing. I cross-posted it there and placed follow-ups there as well. Not only are paypal bonuses being reduced, but X.com is ending their refer a friend promotion on March 15 as well. Like others, I am offering (...)   Re: Cleaning discolored white bricks

I've not tried it, but it works well removing the graphics off other blocks (including delicate clear ones). Since minifigs are made out of the same plastic with the same type of graphics, I would guess that it would work fine there as well. Chris (...) (26 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Cleaning discolored white bricks

Nope: I would use the drying technique LAST to polish the brick up. You have to scrub it first. I haven't attempted to do the tops (just the sides which are easier and typically the only part that shows - unless you are using a plate). Then, when (...) (26 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Is 25% off enough?

It all depends on how badly you want the sets. If any of them are rare or have badly needed pieces, then 25% off is fine. If you just want to bulk up your collection, then I would definitely hold out. Check out some of the deals on the (...) (26 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: I need some advice....

I have a couple of potential ideas. I'm assuming that it is ok to "modify" the table top, but you'd prefer not to mess up the LEGO sets. If you have a large flat piece (like a base plate with a building, trees, or horses), then you can put screws in (...) (26 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)
