Hi Dave, can you try the DLM.EXE (not hbdl) program off the software resources web page? you will have to use the "-256" flag because it defaults to -512 for the e1 version of the 6811 which is probably not what you have. also, if you have windows (...) Not a real systematic one -- that seemed to be enough to let motors blast away, but stop real damage from happening if the nicad pack got shorted out. remember, shorting nicads is a real hazard - 50 to 100 amps -- could almost start a car. -fred (...) Hi everyone, I posted a message a day or two ago about a downloading problem I am having with my HB. I have gotten my hands on a copy of hbdl.exe and it too fails to download pcode_hb.s19. I believe that I am following all instructions properly. (...) (28 years ago, 6-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I looked up the part in DigiKey Catalog. Is there a reason for choosing a fuse rated at 2.5A with a trip of 5.0A? (28 years ago, 6-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I also noticed that the baud rate is dependant on the crystal (...) (28 years ago, 5-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Just to be clear: the code I have promised is 1200 asynchronous serial output from the HB (from a pin other than its built-in RS-232 out :-), *not* SPI code. Mike is correct in stating the place for info is the 6811 "pink book." See the HB (...) (28 years ago, 5-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
