  Re: Brick Layers II book

(...) Wait till I pneumaticise them ;-) Seriously, I would make #1031 essential reading for all Technic and robot builders. The mechanisms shown therein are fundamental and will crop up time and again in various models. Enjoy! -- C S Soh (URL) where (...)   The Construction Site (TCS)

What rare or hard to find sets does The Construction Site have? I'm in the middle of a deal, and one of the options was stuff from TCS. Nothing very expensive, though, please. I think $30 would be the absolute limit. Jeff (URL) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Thoughts on breaking out a pneumatics subgroup

Hello fellow LEGO Engineers... What does everyone think about breaking off a pneumatics subgroup (Todd permitting, of course)? It seems quite a few of us are toying around with pneumatics now and it would make finding previous posts alot easier to (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Well, you got 75%. :-) NPT is National Pipe Taper, and NPS is National Pipe Straight. The latter is used on electical conduit, the former is a self sealing thread used on pressure fittings. For more information on thread forms - there are (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Favorite Lego Train?

(...) Yes I realize that, but I haven't found a way to simulate lumber yet where my 4 year old can easily "play" with it. She likes cars where she can remove what they carry and switch them around. So the bulkhead was both sturdy enough for the play (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Jon, My theoretical helix has not been made reality yet. The Lego budget has been used for acquiring parts from Todd's AucZILLA auction to make copies of Larry's hopper car among other things. The theoretical helix is really a rounded off (...) (26 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
