Re: What words describe the Lego elements?

(...) Nope, "Linnaeus" is spelled correctly. However if the "A" above refers to his first name that's wrong, his first name is Carolus. If not, nevermind. -Chris (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

I can't be sure of this, but I might try a Visual Basic program that would give the user a option of what programs to install and where. That away, if the user doesn't want all the stuff on the harddrive, he doesn't have to install it. Another thing (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

(...) Wouldn't try that. Too many people don't have VB runtimes installed, and just throwing them on the CD doesn't work (unless you want to make people install them first, which is a pain, but could work).   An acronym FAQ

I was thinking of creating an Acronym FAQ. I've noticed that many people don't know certain acronyms and can't figure them out from the context. Do you think there is need for one? I know that earlier ones were made but long ago, and new acronyms (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: An acronym FAQ

(...) Well, *I* certainly need one, so there's at least an audience of one. I remember some of them from the old RTL days: newcomers would certainly benefit. I'd suggest beraking it down into sections like "LEGO related" (AFOL, BURP, POOP, RTL) and (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: DC motor

It sounds like you might have a mechanical, rather than electrical, problem. Servos typically have some sort of stop nub on the gears so that they can't rotate past a certain point.
