Re: L-Draw - Future is the Net?

In LDLite on MS Windows, the .dat files are searched for for by trying to do an "OpenFile" in several directories. It would be very easy to replace the "OpenFile" with a call that gets a file via ftp or html. I dreamed of adding an attempt to get a (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: How many bricks are there in a lego set?

(...) I've seen non-US sets (without piece counts) at ZanyBrainy and KB retail stores. (I got a European 8480 Technic shuttle at ZB and saw some non-US model team sets at KB) (...) The best is the Legoland brochure that I got in a European 6091 .. (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

New versions of the Classic Esso Signage/Pumps

For those of you who collect or have an interest in the old '50s and '60s LEGO Esso Service signage and pumps, there are a few new items to collect. My UK LEGO friend Phil Traviss (very knowledgeable about UK/European LEGO!!!) mentioned to me a few (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: L-Draw - Future is the Net?

(...) Wouldn't this be really really slow while before the web cache fills up? I suppose you could test the speed without a rewrite by samba sharing an LDRAW directory across the internet and then setting your ldrawdir path to something like (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: 6755 - Sherriff's Lockup

Thanks for the advice! I got a brand new Bank/General Store set quite cheap in a toyshop I stumbled into whilst visiting my girlfriend and I seem to recall that's where I picked up the Fort as well - I'll be gutted if I can't complete my little town (...) In lugnet.market.auction, Mike Poindexter writes: Ignoring the nitpicking (polybags and 50's/60's sets)... (...) No, I think the disagreement is more about what is in mint condition, not what mint is. The title of the auction in question was "LEGO (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

  RE: Analog/Digital IO

Is that how it works? I remeber a time when some students were using a joystick for a project and recall them dealing with some sort of PWM. As to whether they were the joystick position signals, I'm not entirely sure. (...) This message is for the (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: http://www.letsbuyit.com?

What about suggesting something like 8448 supercar. I missed out on the Argos deal :-( Does anyone want to sell one? Is it one of the most expensive sets except for the mindstorms /cybermaster sets. Or maybe the trains are more expensive? David (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: How many bricks are there in a lego set?

(...) As a matter of fact, I picked up some boxes at a KayBee store not too long ago that also didn't have a piece count on the box. It was a Night Lord's Castle (6097), and contained a different set of catalogs than I was used to as well (having (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)
