 | | Interesting article in new Adventurers magazine
|

Just for a change, there's something interesting in it. An article about desiging the Arctic sets. Apparently work started in 1987, and again in 1996 - and there's pictures of models (that never surfaced) from both previous attemps. Also, very cool, (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Hi Mauro, Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but it seems to me that if you can't tell your robot how to turn correctly, no mapping system would work. The system I used contained a simple TURN LEFT, TURN RIGHT method. Each turn is 45 degrees. I didn't (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Michael, I've been thinking about ant trails too. It's seems to me that the RCX would not be a good trail laying creature. But what it is good at is using the IR port. A robot could drive along and possibly store it's trail in a map. When it found (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics)
