  Kmart..BOGO,etc

Just thought I'd mention this offhand in case it might make someone out there happy (since, for example I've heard some people say they'd buy some of the new castle should they run across one..) At my local "Big" Kmart(Capitola,California), there' s (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: NEW Mindstorms set shown (with picture!)

(...) What exactly is a Micro Scout? Is it an imperial mini-fig? If so, could you tell me where to look because I can't find it. Thanks. (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.robotics)

(...) That's because in Europe (Eastern Europe at least) kids mature earlier. At age 14 or 15 they already have to pick what they want to do with their life, whether to go to middle school or job training. By the time they're 18, they can speak at (...)   The Lego Group

I have seen a number of folks here continuing to use the acronym, TLC, instead of TLG. It is driving me crazy. I checked the bottom of several of my Lego sets, including 7144: Slave I and this is what I found: The Lego Group. The Lego logo and the (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Questionable eBay auction

(...) Did that. The reply from seller was that he agreed to ship to Canada and that shipping would be slightly higher. No word about this fee. So I bid. Two days after the end of the auction, he checked with his bank and discovered the huge fee. (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Questionable eBay auction

Banks only charge this fee when they're feeling like patriotic morons. If the MO is drawn from an American Bank (Citicorp for example), the the routing number will be for Citicorp NY, even though it may be drawn from a Canadian branch. I've argued (...)   How do you copyright your own work?

Is it as simple as saying, "I took the picture; therefore, it is copyrighted by me," or is it a more invovled legal process like patenting? The thread about plagiarism started me thinking about it. Chris (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Well worth the wait!

Ever since I saw the new Lego 2000 catalog, I have been eagerly awaiting the delivery of the first 8002s to Canada. As the old year passed and the new one set in a visit to the local TRU was manditory. Continuous during the first week of January (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jan-00, to lugnet.starwars)
