The Earwig and the Flea are designed for atmospheric, orbital and to a lesser
extent interplanetary operations.  They are not capable of interstellar flight.

The twin prongs are capable of carrying several types of specialized payloads
including a sensor pod, cargo, a towing device etc.

I'm also working on a little animated adventure which I hope to post in about a
week.

Hope you enjoy them.

I did enjoy them both--they have an interesting shape, and the cockpits (both the detailing and the nice pics you were able to get) looked great! Good lookin’ Photoshopping on the space and atmospheric shots. I assume the tops are flat for docking with your larger MOCs--it would have been cool to see pictures of that, but maybe you’ll be covering that in a later post. I enjoyed your earlier MOCs also, but these are even better!

Thanks Kyle. I used Felix’s recommendation of taking the shots outdoors, in the shade on a sunny day and it made a huge difference.

You are quite correct, the tops are flat for docking purposes and I’m working on another MOC with that in mind right now.

I really like the clean, practical designs of the ships and the scenes you put
them in. I'm looking forward to the animation. They should be in some sort of
saga. (I was reluctant to make my MOC post after seeing yours this morning
because I didn't want to distract attention from these gems.)

That's thoughtful but when I saw your latest on Brickshelf, I prepared myself
psychologically for being upstaged.  Really, I've come to terms with it (gentle
sobbing in the background)....

Hi Matt,

These 2 MOCs look very nice. The work you did to incorporate them into some
space scene backgrounds is impressive as well. Do you plan to publish some more
pics (maybe without any background work) so that we can see them a little
better? I am sure we're missing a lot of details...

Thanks for sharing,

JP.

Oh that's an interesting shape.  I like the high visability of the cockpit
arrangement, and the pilot's chair on the arm is a great selling point.

The top looks a little chopped off above the cockpit....ending a little
abruptly.  It looks like a difficult transition point..peraps an overlapping
wedge plate of some sort?

The interiors are wunderbar...panel layouts look quite functional.

Yes...would definately love a few more pics from different angles to get a
better sense of the overall package.

Nice build!

These are both very nice.  The canopies are well done, and the interiors are
beautiful.  I'd like a few more exterior shots, though, like the rear and more
detail on the engine pods.

The Earwig has some great texturing and shaping on the sides, but the Flea is a
bit lacking in this area.  Its side walls are a bit bland, though that's not
exactly inconsistent with the concept.

It is nice to see more near-future stuff.  These are much more grounded in
reality than much of what we see.

The twin prongs are capable of carrying several types of specialized
payloads including a sensor pod, cargo, a towing device etc.

I'm also working on a little animated adventure which I hope to post in
about a week.

I can't wait!  Perhaps we'll see the exteriors better and the prongs in action.
