(...) Wow! If I remember correctly, the rounded cockpit tilted at 45 degrees first appeared in an official Lego set, the (URL) Mega Core Magnetizer>. Other AFOL have improved on the original idea. (URL) Patrick Justison's Enforcer> comes to mind. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Ryan Wood
(...) Well hey thanks for the compliments and sharing those links..those are some interesting ideas! I've seen neither before, but that is a stud orientation I may have to play around with for future models. --Ry (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Chris McNamee
(...) OH...WOW! That thing is awesome! I was curious as to what a Jade Empire ground vehicle might look like, and I think you built something that perfectly grasps the essence of a machine of war built solely for destruction. And on top of that, (...) (20 years ago, 24-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Ryan Wood
(...) There's many more designs to be created for Jade Empire ground forces; this is just one idea, in my personal building style! :) If you or any number of other JE builders (or even new builders to the theme) took a stab at the concept, we'd have (...)          Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Ryan Wood
(...) Thanks, 22. Glad you (and others) enjoy the progress shots.. all my mocs go through such drastic design changes that it seems like a fun way to present multiple ship ideas to the public when posting the final moc. Maybe someone will see (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Bill Pfund
Nice tank! I could see a division of these squaring off against a division of Trade Federation tanks. I think the Jade Empire would win! Bill Pfund (20 years ago, 24-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Actually, I'd like to see Ryan's Hong hover tanks squaring off against (URL) Leonard Hoffman's Elefant hover tanks>.            Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Ryan Wood
(...) If I'd thought up this moc and completed it before Fest, and somehow made it to DC, that would have made for a fun battle in front of the JHoJ. (...) Ah yes my Precious. Someday we'll establish a backstory for Jade Empire and how exactly this (...) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Leonard Hoffman
(...) Indeed, the Eastern Block's technological paradigm is power in numbers. Our designs tend to be small and affordable in such a way that we can field twice or thrice the number of our enemies, and thus achieve victory. Historical Note: During (...)            Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Mike Kollross
Snippage (...) The Russian winter gave the Russians victory on the Russian front, more so than the T-34. Although having vehicles and equipment that could take the cold were a large part of that equation. Mike (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Leonard Hoffman
(...) Russian Winters being what defeated the Germans is more myth than truth. Think about it. Hitler attacked in late summer of 1941.          Re: Jade Empire Hong Hovertank —Ryan Wood
(...) The Federation tank has one main cannon and two puny side cannons. Theoretically the curved front end of the tank fires a variety missiles, but all I see is printing ;) I'm confident my hovertank would rip it to shreds.
