Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Mike Petrucelli
What can I say, not having access to my bricks has caused me to make something truly absurd. (URL) Hmm... Maybe we could make one for everyone's sigfig. (With their permission of course) Now there's an interesting notion. Or maybe its just plain (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Those are very very cool. Way different than the Sea Monkey trading cards though... (not that there's anything wrong with that!) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Sea Monkey trading crards? Never heard of those, doing a quick search of the newsgroups I see that was from Brickfest 2003. Obviously I have never seen them either. Are they a trading card game as well? I'm still working out the specifics but (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Joe Meno
(...) Yep, there were Sea Monkey trading cards. I made'em:)! I made a few sets for Brickfest to 'spread the word' about the SMs, and they were pretty well-recieved. No trading card game was created (thankfully), though I wonder how the Sea Monkeys (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Don Cox
(...) What a super idea, are you going to be selling these, are just make them available to us? Don .Space, a sub-theme to .Castle just kidding :) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Well technically I couldn't sell them if I wanted to becuase of the LEGO classic space logo. Once I get everything finished I will post printable quality pics. No ideas as to when that will happen though. The game mechanics will be very (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Larry Pieniazek
(...) /sigfig.gif>> (...) Just as a note to tie up a couple of loose ends here... 1) I'm an old guy, so "trading cards" to me mean like baseball cards, I completely missed the "collectable card game" (ala Magic the Gathering like) meaning. So my (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.glug, lugnet.gaming, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Hmmm... I guess that would have made sense for me to post there also in the first place. There is the link (URL) again> (...) Well for anyone interested: The basic versus aspect will be a simple roll of a die. So 2 dice, one for each person (...)          Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Allan Bedford
(...) Very nice idea. Will there be ship cards as well? Or just spacemen? I like the layout/look of your cards, and instantly wondered if we'd see ones with classic space vehicles on them. Or are the ships part of the next expansion set? ;) Great (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.glug, lugnet.gaming, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Well originally I only intended to make a couple spacemen cards, I am not sure if I could add ships and still keep it a fairly simple game to play. (I kind of wanted to avoid making cards of actual sets, I don't really know why, I just did) (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.glug, lugnet.gaming, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Steve Burge
I always thought: Black - Commander (Because there's so few of them) Blue - Lieutenant Yellow - Scientist (They always get the scanning gear/diggers) White - Mechanic/Worker Red - Pilot (You always get Red chaps with space ships) How did everyone (...)         Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Wayne McCaul
Black - Special Ops/Secret Police (I have exactly one of these guys) Blue - Pilots (probably an Air Force influence) Yellow - Scientists/Explorers White - Workers Red - Commanders Although, initially, when it was only Red and White: Red = Soviets (...)           Re: Evil Wayne! —Wayne McCaul
Azar, Grand Admiral! I'm a big lurker as most of my collection is currently in an unusuable format (i.e., it's mostly packed up). But I see most of what goes on here. :) ... ...And seethe in jealously... :P Groove on GA. -Evil Wayne (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Anne Carasik
This is the system I used for my classic space moonbase, except the white guys were the commanders. :) -Anne (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Mark Sandlin
(...) Hey, I used the same ranking system as you! I never had a blue spaceman as a kid tho. Didn't get one until just recently. :\ -Grand Admiral (URL) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Steve Burge
Spooky. I had one blue spaceman as a kid, and that minifig represented me when my spacemen went off to have adventures in the back garden (or the swimming pool...). When he was inside buildings, he'd take off his helmet and wear a cowboy hat! Steve (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Nick Kappatos
(...) Hmmm, my figs never really had a chain of command - but there was a seniority thing happening, based loosley on when they first made their way into my childhood collection: White/Red - the originals, the guys who got it done. Meat & Potatoes. (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Aaron Sneary
(...) Most of the time I used this same system. But occasionally, on special missions, suit color represented envirnmental specialties: Red- for Geologically active planets, or very hot environments Blue- for aquatic exploration Black- prolonged EVA (...)         Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —John Henry Kruer
(...) I wasen't around back then to get classic space guys. The most I have is 1 blue spaceman with a broken headpiece I got in the jambalya box. I wonder how you organize Futuron guys in... I have 5 Futuron guys- 2 yellow, 2 red, and 1 black. -JHK (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Steve Burge
(...) I use Futurons as the Uber versions of their respective colour, so a Red Futuron would be a Squadron Leader, Yellow Futuron: Head Researcher etc. Steve (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Lego Space Trading Cards?! —Fradel D. Gonzales
When I was younger I did the colors based on rank or occupational skill too like in Star Trek. Then I thought it foolish as then I would be limited as to how many of certain types of guys I could have. Besides it wouldn’t be smart to advertise to (...)
