| | | | | Howdy everyone...I feel out of the loop without a Moonbase Project MOC!!
I must get on the Module bandwagon soon. I'm brainstorming for an
idea...and I still need a big grey baseplate.
In the meantime this is the Jade Fox, a personal atmoshperic cruiser. The
variable pitch ducted fan drive system provides a very quiet means of
propulsion. Forward lamps can be quickly converted to something more lethal
if need be.

makes you realise how much we all work around grey. The 'Fox is a real
looker Matt, and I'm digging those engines huge.
Cool.

Thanks Gil! Yup, I forced myself to work with color again. I'm really
stunned by all the cool MOCs lately, and they're driving me to build better.
But I just can't get my pod to come out right!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Great color scheme - seeing grey as a secondary or tertiary color is a
little-taken approach, and it almost always pays off. I really like the
engines on this'n, and the overall form of the front. Seems a bit wide - I
wonder how it'd look if it were about 2 or 3 studs narrower. Eh, anyhow,
very nifty.

Thanks Chris! I was thinking the same exact thing about the width. If I
were to address this in the future, I think I might increase the length to
better the proportion.

you succeeded. The grey cylinders on the ducted fans also look good. Nice
job Matt!

Thanks Mladen! I'm crazy about building with green but I don't have much,
so I had to use it sparingly. My choice of white was actually dictated by
the color of available fan nacelles. I wonder what the Mammoth would look
like in green/white...er, nevermind.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Woah, that's nice. I like the color scheme- white with green is very
original. Those Alpha Team engines work great- it looks really cool and
functional. Kinda reminds me of the flying car:

(who is thankful that his dad got him a 48X48 grey baseplate when he had the
chickenpox, along with the Sonar Security set)

Thanks John! Hey that's it, that is the vehicle I was thinking of when I
built the 'Fox. I remember the aerocar (or something like it) in a Popular
Science mag long ago...I wanted to build something like it, but never had
the right pieces for the engines.

Very cool. Reminds me of the Moller Skycar. With racing colors!
Any chance we'll see this in a race scene in the future? ;-)

Thank you JS! You and John nailed it...this is what I was envisioning when
I put it together...I didn't know it had an official name...

I hope to join everyone at a Brickfest someday and, yes, I'll put the 'Fox
in a racing scene!
