Ohhhhh, no, sir.  Pirate?  Me?  Never such.  Just an honest trader.

   "Is this the *Landshark*?"

"No, no, sir, only a dolphin."

(be vewwwy, vewwwwy quite!  There's a really BIG pirate hunter around)

No doubt!  I'll have to stay on the beam ends of Jim's monster,
or else do something crazy like have a steel hull.  ;)  But then
again, how would a steel hull ever float?  That's crazy talk...

Great opening shot, Jim--I'm looking forward to seeing more!
Didn't we just have a thread about what was possible without
Pirate-specific parts?  I think Jim's done very well.  My
big kudos of the week go to Tony Priestman's reconceptualization
of his Floater hull--it originally had 16-wides and so looked
a bit oversized for its flotation.  The new iteration is, IMHO,
a nice improvement, and I love how it looks with actual masts \
and rig!  Scary.  Get a few of those about and we'll all be
scurrying for the safe harbours we knew as wee pirate lads...

   all best
