LEGO museum in Ohio? —James Trobaugh
I ran across this listing on eBay: (URL) museum. DISPLAY, Statue, and DONATIONS NEEDED > We are going to open a LEGO museum. We need TONS of blocks, displays, and any other lego "stuff" we can come up with. Presenters gain a place in HISTORY. We are (...)         Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —Ray Sanders
(...) Most curious ebay placement. The picture of the school building almost looks like one of those old postcards (like from the 40s or 50s). Otherwise, I dunno. Ray (19 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

A Trip Worth Taking! —Brian Darrow
My wife and I met Peter Barth, another IndyLUG member, at Dan Brown’s Toy and Brick Museum in Bellaire, Ohio on Friday April 11 to see what it was all about. Like this post’s title says, it was well worth the trip. I was so impressed that I wanted (...) (16 years ago, 13-Apr-08, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, lugnet.events, FTX)

Re: A Trip Worth Taking! —Dan Brown
(...) Thanks, and we are getting bigger and better. I forgot to show you the room downstairs, it will be AWSOME!!! We will be building a sea serpent for the room, and it will allow the kids/adults to bring in their bathing suits, and get soaked. We (...)         Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —Adrian Drake
(...) The bid is listed as being from Bellaire, Ohio which is way down south-east on the border with West Virginia, across the river from Wheeling. An interesting and very out-of-the-way place to put a museum. I'd think that TLC would be interested (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —James Trobaugh
(...) That's what I was thinking also. Why would you put it in the middle of "no where" (no offense to anyone that lives in that area) but you would want it in a location that people would visit on a trip or something. I also find it strange that (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —Adrian Drake
(...) Well, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is in Canton because one of the most dominant football franchises of the early days was the Canton Bulldogs. The baseball hall of fame has a slightly more (URL) convoluted history>. But it has history. What (...) (19 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —Nick Kappatos
(...) Probably the fact that the owners/curators live in the area and found a building on the cheap there. I would imagine there's a slightly smaller following for Lego than there is for football, baseball, or basketball (HoF in Springfield, MA, (...)           Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —David Eaton
(...) That was my guess too. If it were Lego doing the organizing, they'd probably aim for a larger "vacation area" spot (balanced with cheap real estate of course), but considering how this looks more privately run, it's probably what they could (...)          Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —Erik Olson
(...) I'm sorry, but are you implying that Lego was first made in Ohio, like the baseball bat comes from Cooperstown, NY? Maybe it is near Samsonite! (19 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —Dan Brown
(...) It is only 1 mile from Rt. 70 between Columbus and Pittsburgh! Even Pres and Mrs Clinton came to our town in the last 2 weeks!!! We may be in the middle of nowhere, but nicely placed in the middle of nowhere! Dan (16 years ago, 27-Feb-08, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —Paul Janssen
I have contacted them about a week ago, they said they'd get back to me, but no contact since then. I'd love a place that I can reach in 2 hours, and where I can park my Lego collection. If this turns out to be a legit museum, I'll be more than (...) (19 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: LEGO museum in Ohio? —James Trobaugh
