Re: New Monorail System (MOC) - 360 degree roll - Videos!

(...) Thanks Matt :-) Here are a couple of videos of the roller coaster, my first ones: Flat circuit: (URL) degree roll: (URL) too bad I hope, considering it's not a movie camera. I had to use a floodlight as my earlier attempt came out too dark. (...) (18 years ago, 28-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)

Re: GBC MOC: Track Wheel Reservoir - Video!

(...) Absolutely! :-) (...) I thought about that when you said so before, but then I thought it was better to keep the tracks rigid, otherwise the tension might vary in the round ends, requiring good control of the tracks on the straight part. I (...) (18 years ago, 28-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk)

Lego AFOL Display @ The Merrist Wood Summer Show 20/05/07

I'm organising this event now for the third year. It will be on Sunday, the 20th of May. It's probably the biggest AFOL display in the UK (by visitor numbers) and is a small part of a very big one day event. Merrist Wood Campus (of Guildford (...) (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.loc.uk)

GBC MOC: Track Wheel Reservoir (was Re: Tunnel Mouth / Bridge Arch)

(...) I've not made very much GBC before but this was such a nice idea that I thought I'd have a go Brian: (URL) I used 36 tracks with pins on alternate ones to give a maximum 4 balls/second output. This can be reduced easily to the standard 1 (...) (18 years ago, 21-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

Mind the gap! London Underground Standard tube stock

(URL) With my designing of the W+C 1940 stock (SR class 487) model recently I overcame some design obstacles that had set me against continuing the design process for the standard stock, having started it by throwing together a quick demonstrator (...)   New Monorail System (MOC)

This monorail (URL) built with tracks from Snowmobile 8272 and the forthcoming Bullozer 8275. The Power Functions system (URL) allows IR remote control of the train.   Joystick Controls with new Power Function RC handsets

With the new Power Function IR RC handsets it is possible to create joystick controls by adding a few extra pieces.   MOC: Terraced houses

This is a recent MOC of a row of English terraced houses. It's typical of working class housing from around 1900 as can be found across much of the Midlands and North of England.   MOC: Scots Baronial house

I built this a few years ago, but I don't think I ever announced it at the time. It's a Scots Baronial mansion house, based on the buildings of 19th century Edinburgh architect David Bryce. It's not modelled on any single house - he'd never have had (...) (18 years ago, 5-Mar-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.build.arch) !

  MOC: Kedleston Hall

Kedleston Hall is a classical 18th century mansion in Derbyshire, UK. I've modelled it in LEGO, and you can see the results here: (URL) front is largely accurate, excepting the lack of sculpture and the fact that I've compressed the staircase so (...)   Tunnel Mouth / Bridge Arch

The tracks from the Snowmobile 8272 and Bulldozer 8275 make a great tunnel mouth or bridge arch - smoother than using slope bricks. (URL) used 27 links at the moment, fixing them twice on each side. The arch as built fits well over 6-wide, 8-wide or (...)
