  Re: New instructions at lego.com

(...) I have a suspicion that this might be to make up for the appalling colouring of the instructions. It's easier to match dark bleys and blacks to the instructions if they're in piles. --snip-- (...) Tim (17 years ago, 24-May-07, to lugnet.inst, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: New instructions at lego.com

(...) Be it carpet, grass, or a bad haircut on a big headed friend... I find this pic so laughable and insulting to the target audience. My own kids rolled their eyes at this one and called "lame".   Re: New instructions at lego.com

(...) They've started putting that picture in for a few sets, I think-- I think it's supposed to mean "don't build on a soft surface like a rug, build on a hard surface like a table". DaveE (17 years ago, 24-May-07, to lugnet.inst)

  Re: New instructions at lego.com

(...) While it has not been confirmed, the general consensus seems to be that it means "don't build on the carpet". Either way, it is confusing and unnecessary IMO. ROSCO (17 years ago, 24-May-07, to lugnet.inst)
