I’m very happy to announce that registration for Chicago House of Bricks at To Be CONtinued 4: The Musical is now online. Prices and information for registration can be accessed via the Box Office link on the side bar for the event.

Registration is not exclusive to House of Bricks and will allow attendees access to all areas of the convention. To Be CONtinued 4: The Musical is being held at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg. A link to the hotel can be accessed through the Venue link on the main page. For Dealer information, please click on the Departments link on the side bar.

If you have questions or comments, please post them to lugnet.events.houseofbricks, as others may have similar questions. Questions can also be sent to HoB@2BeCONtinued.com which will forward to me as well as other members of the ToBeCONtinued staff. Please refer to the following list of event coordinators for any specific question.

Felix Greco
Chicago House of Bricks Coodinator
Space/Moonbase Coordinator
Film Contest Coordinator (Announcement coming soon!)
Director of Programming
Train/Town Coordinator (Until a suitable replacement is found)

Jason Spears
Castle Coordinator
(And much much more behind the scenes)

Brian Davis
Technic/Mindstorms Coordinator
GBC Coordinator

I’d also like to add a very special thank you to Kelly McKiernan for all of his help and hard work getting registration up and running.

When we at Chicago House of Bricks were approached to be a part of ToBeCONtinued, we were asked only one question. I extended this same question to you and hope it will be an indication of the great time we anticipate having...

What can we do to help you have fun?

I’ve already heard some questions about registration fees, so I thought I would answer those here, to help everyone. First, here is the chart on the To Be CONtinued4 site.

   Kids in tow under 6

Pre-Reg Premium
   $49
   N/A
   N/A

Pre-Reg Full Weekend

   $10
   FREE

At the door Full Weekend
   $45
   $15
   FREE

Single Day
   $35
   $10
   FREE

Premium includes: A limited edition convention t-shirt signed and numbered by artist. & A private Thursday night hor’derves reception with the guests of honor. This may be of limited interest to the lego crowd.

Pre-Reg Full Weekend includes: Access to all parts of the convention, including the House of Bricks and the Chicago Games Quest.

Custom Engraved LEGO® name badge: This will add $6 to the cost of your registration. Some areas of the House of Bricks may be roped off to keep our lego creations safe. Your brick badge will get you behind the ropes.

Hope that helps everyone,

Cool! I have already registered and am looking forward to this. I see this as another of the many ways that the community will be able to expand its base and get new members and new ideas.

Now what DO I bring?

Glad to hear it. Yes, partnering with a sci-fi convention will add a special touch to the event. While other events have set a precendent a lot of AFOLs will be expecting, our event is taking a different direction that we think will be a lot of fun.

If the response I’ve gotten from the 2BeCON planners is any indication, we should see a lot of sleepers enter the community with this event. As a LEGO Ambassador and member of this community I’m really looking forward to the new faces we might see as a result of this. Our community is rapidly expanding and each person brings certain special something to the fold.

Your camera, some cool mocs (if you have any...) and a smile? Oh, and some clothes, Chicago gets chilly sometimes even in May.

I don’t THINK I am showing, let me go check... nope, nothing incriminating visible HERE. But I registered for cHoB before you did so ya, I’ll be there. WITH Nik, I think.

You and Felix and he and I should talk about that Sea Monkey co-exhibit thing. THAT would be cool!

If so, you need some cool mocs too :-)!!

Don’t got none of those, just ask anyone.

Guess I don’t. Did you register before it was announced here? If so than maybe, if not, then definitely.

My money's on lar.  It boils down to a weight advantage; but, Joe has the
"look" of a hula pro...
