Hello all,
I've noticed that a lot of people took the effort of posting the pictures
they shoot at the great LEGOWORLD 2002 event. Thank you all very much for
that. For the benefit off all, I've compiled a list of all the links that
Marcel van der Linden and I could find.
In case I've missed a site or gallery of someone, please e-mail me the
appropriate link, and I will post an updated list.

XFUT to .trains since many of these galleries have significant train
content. Thanks for consolidating these all together for the group, Manfred!
I'm sorry I missed all the fun. Maybe next year. That's assuming you're all
going to do it again?

Of course 'we' are all going to do it again! I certainly will, one more
year with the Pirates-theme !!
And in 2003 we expect at least a JumboJet full of US-afols + their Lego
to participate/visit .... ;-)
The chance to show-off your hobby/addiction to more then 35-Thousand (!)
kids+parents+fellow afol's: it's a thrill !!

Of course we're going again!
Here's a little write-up I did on the BrickFilms forum, to indicate how we
enjoyed ourselves. Sorry if it focuses on our own little show and animation
too much.

We handed out 200 folders mentioning, among others, the sites
www.yellowhead.8m.com, www.brickfilms.com, links.brickz.net,
www.bricksinmotion.com and www.coolbrickmovies.com. So expect a slight
increase in visitors the next few days.
Highlights:
* Lots of AFOLs who were very enthusiastic and full of praise
* I've had a short chat with Tim Courtney (of Ldraw), who apparently takes
an interest in animation as well: he mentioned this wonderful camera
stand/pan/dolly device that was really steady and inter-locking, ideal for
animation.
* Lots of questions by kids and parents alike. Among the most occurring
were:
- Why doesn't your hand appear on the screen?
- Was that made with studios?
- That must take a lot of time!
- Is that a computer game you're playing?
* The feedback on our films! The Barber was an absolute hit: "look, mom,
it's a barber!". It's just wonderful to see these people laugh about the
jokes and enjoy them immensely. When seeing animation class (that's hard to
follow for Dutch people in a crowded hall), we often heard "Look! There's
Harry Potter!".
* They also had a large screen in quite a big hall (comparable with the
BrickFest one, if not bigger) where we were allowed to show the films once
in a while.
Anyway, we have enjoyed ourselves immensely, and we've seen lots of
beautiful craftswork by the other AFOLs. Especially the Italians did a great
job.

I thought about including .trains, but in all fairness, then I should have
included virtally every other theme groups as well, since they where all
represented on our event, without exception! So, I went for .general instead.

Mrs. R. Ouweneel, manager of the exhibition complex 'IJsselhallen', told us
that the LEGOWORLD event will be planned for next year also. The dates
depends on the regional autumn school vacation periodes, and will become
known as soon as these periodes are set officially. Look out for the
announcements.

Hi Karl,
the three buildings are part of the current ITLug's Train&Town layout
(http://www.marioferrari.org/itlug_docs/diorama_2003.html).
I did the white one, and Gianluca Morelli did the other two.
I'm sorry but no building plan is available right now.
Maybe I'll post some detail photo of my building (it is fairly modular) and
of my station: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=262195.

Hmm, it seems like lugnet.events.legoworld would be a good addition to
the newsgroup line-up. I think the interest this year will generate much
more interst for next year.
