I'd like to see a "Castle World Grimoire" section on the website, to document
people's spells and magic items.  That would be a nice way to document all
available spells and items available for people to use.  Guess I'll have to • get
working on spells and magical effects...

http://members.xoom.com/aulddragon/

I like this idea, but it could have it's problems. For instance, some people
might want to make the silver swords a mystical one of a kind artifact, while
others (me) have all of the ones they own in the employ of a certain race or
group of characters. I say that the Grimoire be only filled with spells,
hopefully avoiding any problems.

Another beef that I have is emblems. I think that everyone has the new Knights
Kingdom sets, so Knights Kingdom figs could be the royalty. Someone (Pawel?)
could have the high King and Queen, while everyone elses figs are dukes,
lords, ladies.
I think that we can agree that the Fright Knight Embelm is the one for the
evil of the world, but ideas will conflict. Nebachaned (ne-ba-ka-ned) is my
lord of the Dark Forces. Someone else could have a completely different fig as
the evil lord.

Just my 2 cents(american If it was Canadian it would be worth about .2 cents :(

Actually, Karl, I think the intent is to have many *different* kingdoms
on the CW map, rather than have everyone operating in the same kingdom.
Thus Nebachaned could be threatening your area of Castle World, while
Arjan's Qaballah and Craig's Mephisto are Forces of Evil in other areas of
the world.  (Why is it that most of the 'bad guys' are all wizards, anyway?)

You do bring up a good point - remember that this is a *shared* world and
that we all need to cooperate.  So it would be a good idea if people did
*not* create characters that are 'The Supreme Ruler of All Evil' (unless
of course the creator realizes that they aren't *actually* the Supreme
Ruler of All Evil, and they're just claiming to be.)

As for emblems - I think they're going to mean different things in
different realms. The Lions could be the 'bad guys' in one realm and the
Bat Lord and his followers the 'good guys'.  (Picture a sort of Robin-Hood
arrangement, where a young exiled Lord takes to the mountains vowing to
exact revenge for the murder of his parents...and to frighten his enemies,
he forges a metal mask in the shape of a bat, because "these petty lordlings
are a cowardly and superstitious lot..."  Legends arise about a monstrous
sword-weilding 'Bat Man' who preys upon the King's caravans...*)

hopefully soon! your character, Nebachaned, sounds great! i'm a FK fan,
myself, and believe it's as important a part of the LEGO castle theme as
forestmen, etc. everyone has their own unique interpretation of these
themes, and CW is a primarily a place to archive them. secondary is the
interaction. i don't think any part of the interactivity should interfere
with an individual balladeer's interpretation. (see my other rambling post
in this thread,;-))

What I see happening is that someone's signature character will be an
blacksmith (for example).  Jason Catena's signature character is just that - a
blacksmith.  I think more weight should be given to that since it's his sig.
Following this, take Ewan - one of my characters.  Ewan has an bow that
has magical properties, but it can can only be so good for now ... Until
Ewan travels to Jason's Realm to get it "perfected", it can only reach a certain
level of structure.  Just my thinking on this ... You can have a blacksmith
in your realm that has can do these kind of tasks, but I think this will open
up room for stories and interaction.

Another beef that I have is emblems. I think that everyone has the new Knights

I think that this is imminent.  Treaties will arise and alliegince will be
declared.  It will also be broken, but that's life.  I specifically look forward
to my new castle being done so that I can have a Grand Reception of figures
from different realms.  It will be an awesome photo - Star Wars like
(when the emperor arrived).  There will be a few hundred soldiers lined up
in rows leading up to the main castle with the King Edward Bruce and
Price Ian (along with the aces) at the end ... Treaties will then be signed
and cooperation declared.  I will want tons of characters for this one scene
... There will be a dinner party with a huge table and guest of honor (other
characters).

More on that later.  Before any of this happens, Chapter 2 of the Verneer
Chronicles will be out, Ewan's Forest City will be shown, cameos will be
made and the Map will be in place.

LOL! I hope not ;-) I'm normally a very honest person... (and humble too ;-)

I was referring to my learning Craig's methods of customizing minifigs -
Craig, of course, is the master... (J/k, there are many masters)

Hey Shiri, Ma shlomech,

I knew when I read this that you didn't realize what you said. When Craig asked
if he would get an intern he was referring to Monica Lewinsky and that Clinton
guy (can't bring myself to call him president, being a former Marine and all).
And then you said you'd volunteer for the job and people's imaginations just
ran wild. I don't think they realize that your age and the fact that you spend
a lot of time out of the country means that you obviously were not referring to
that. Anyway, in reading your response to those two posts it's even more clear
that this is not what you had in mind.

Shame on you guys for thinking the worst.

Lehitraot Shiri,
Bill

Actually, I did realize her age, which is why I was both making no comment and
fervently hoping she didn't mean it that way!

Uh-oh...I read some of the messages and seen that she was only 15 years
old, the fact that I didn't know before. Yeah, you are right, it's shame

Hey Shiri, Ma shlomech,

I'm fine, thanks, only a bit embaressed that I didn't get the joke ;-)

I don't know if I should be laughing my head off or disappearing in the
nearest hole in the ground... :-)
I really didn't get Craig's joke and the reference intended... I must admit,
that Clinton's issue was all over the place in Israel too, but I haven't
thought of that in a while, and also I didn't know the whole story, and didn't
remember she was an intern ;-)

Anyhow, I didn't mean that, so, well, umm...

Shame on you guys for thinking the worst.

LOL! Don't worry 'bout it, I can take a joke... It's not like my friends are
all so innocent or anything... They make even worse jokes sometimes ;-)

Thanks, though, for clearing that up for me!

Lehitraot Shiri,

See ya later!
