Very nice work, thanks to all involved.

Minor issue I'm having:

During install mklst.exe fails, vista won't run it (even when using
compatibility mode), I'm using Windows Vista 64bit.

I this little program still native msdos? Maybe someone could compile it
to a win32 console application?

Is there a way to get a list of the excluded parts without using mklst.exe?

I ran into the same issue.  Running the .exe in Administrator mode (right click
on the icon, choose Run As Administrator) took care of the problem.

For MLCad users, I also had to run MLCad in Administrator mode to do a scan for
new parts so that the new parts list file would be written.

Thanks for the tip, but it still won't run. I think it's a 64 bit issue
incombination with native msdos applications. Because eg L3P, whom is a
win32 console application, runs fine.

Yes, for 64bit editions of Windows, Microsoft completely removed support for
16bit DOS and Windows 3.x software. This is causing problems even with some
early 32bit software, that started in 16bit mode and then choose if continue in
16bit or going 32.

This is something that must be addressed, because some new PCs are being sold
with Vista 64bit because they have 4 GB or more of RAM (you can't use more than
3-3.5 GB with 32bit Windows, depending on your hardware), and of course this is
going to spread out.

Regards,

Gabriele

I think the mklist.exe included in the zip file here is built for win32.

You could give it a try on 64bit Vista.

I'm also interested in a list to see before i deside if i install the Non CA
parts or not.
I guess a list with a small picture on LDRAW.ORG could be possible?
Anyone can reffer to this list, and once the part is re-written, it can be
deleted from this list.

Just an idea.

Have you missed this message http://news.lugnet.com/cad/?n=15542 ?
Exactly what you wants to see can be found at
http://www.ldraw.org/Article468.html
So most parts are now on the PT (because it is a rewrite the parts needs to be
certified before they can be issued).

I would welcome you and also other to participate in certifying process.
