I built two more buildings that adhere to the A.K.o.S standard I announced last
week. (http://news.lugnet.com/announce/moc/?n=2822) So I have a total of
three buildings now.
This one has a variable facade, one is Castle-ish, the other is Town-is. I will
have a glass door for the Town facade, Im not happy with this wooden door. Im
also planning on changing out the DkGray arches with back ones.
For these two new ones I also built some firewalls and combined them with my
first A.K.o.S. building. (Both in a straight and a corner arrangement)
I have to get more black slope bricks. For the time being, I substituted some
with red ones. I also need some more sand-blue plates and tiles, not to mention
that I dont have any 1x1 bricks in that color.

Cool. More buildings shows the flexibility of the system. I guess my biggest
concern with it is that the interior arrangements are visible through the
windows. Ive been urging my local club members to work on more interior
detailing so that when people look at a layout and can see into the windows, no
jarring things are visible.
For example:
shows a lot of detail and action on the inside, not just support beams.
For this reason I suspect this is best suited for background buildings where the
public cannot see the interiors clearly.
Interesting idea.

Certainly, quick and dirty BFTB-s (buldings-for-the-background) can be built
using the A.K.o.S. method. This was one of the goals.
On the other hand, interior detailing is not impossible at all. I will add that
to one of the buildings. I just have to make a floor box with an open side,
and attach it to the inner side of the facade. I will call it the interior
detailing module (IDM). An advantage of IDMs would be that they could be built
outside of the building, minifigs could be taken out or placed inside without
having to use tweezers or tearing down the half of the building to get to them.
Thanks for the constructive criticism!

The system aside, these are really nice MOCs.. very detailed for a facade... I
like your idea of removable interiors expressed elsewhere in the thread, that
will help the standard a lot!
Thanks and God Bless,

I have just build a rather primitive looking interior detailing module (IDM).
It is under development. As you can see, one IDM can be used behind various
facades. I still have to do an IDM for the 16x16 module.
