Cool. More buildings shows the flexibility of the system. I guess my biggest concern with it is that the interior arrangements are visible through the windows. I’ve been urging my local club members to work on more interior detailing so that when people look at a layout and can see into the windows, no jarring things are visible.

For example:

shows a lot of detail and action on the inside, not just support beams.

For this reason I suspect this is best suited for background buildings where the public cannot see the interiors clearly.

Interesting idea.

Certainly, “quick and dirty” BFTB-s (buldings-for-the-background) can be built using the A.K.o.S. method. This was one of the goals.

On the other hand, interior detailing is not impossible at all. I will add that to one of the buildings. I just have to make a “floor box” with an open side, and attach it to the inner side of the facade. I will call it the interior detailing module (IDM). An advantage of IDMs would be that they could be built “outside” of the building, minifigs could be taken out or placed inside without having to use tweezers or tearing down the half of the building to get to them.

Thanks for the constructive criticism!

I have just build a rather primitive looking interior detailing module (IDM). It is under development. As you can see, one IDM can be used behind various facades. I still have to do an IDM for the 16x16 module. (4 URLs) Akos (19 years ago, 23-Jun-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)
