  Infinite Improbability Drive

"Beneath it lay uncovered a huge starship, one hundred and fifty metres long, shaped liked a sleek running shoe, perfectly white and mindbogglingly beautiful. At the heart of it, unseen, lay a small gold box which carried the most brain-wrenching (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, FTX) !!

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Excellent rendition. I had the idea of making this ship a while back, but I was going to do the version from the tv show, which in all honesty looked more like a back scrubber than a running shoe. Your's is very true to DA's description even (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) This is gold...pure gold. It's completely zany in it's conception to it final form, doing Hitchhiker's proud. The shape is just phenomenal. Normally I'm not a big fan of sculptured hulls for minifig scale stuff, but this really works well. The (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) I'm going to have to go get a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster before I look at any more pics! very cool MOC, great way to honor the late Mr. Adams...let us hope the upcoming Movie pays tribute to him just as much as you've done with your MOC... (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Wow. My only disappointment is you opted not to go with 1:42 scale. -Tim (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) OMGoodness! Loving it! You are one totally cool frood!!! (Wowbanger the Infinitly prolonged might have to skip you...) Very nice! Dave K (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Absolutly amazing... Wow.., Dude, you need to LDraw this! If there are parts that need to be made, I'll make just to allow you to model this. -Orion (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Tim, Minifig scale is 1:42. --Bram (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Sweet! I love this ship. I alsways got stuck here in the computer game. :) How did you make Breeblebrox? Is that photoshopped or glued? It is totally cool, either way. -Alfred (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Bram, Tim's point is that the MOC isn't true Minifig scale. --Lenny "No, it’s not the right size to be minfig scale but it would need to be six times the size to fit that criterion. " - Nathan Proudlove (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Er, I think Tim's point is that the ship isn't scaled to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. Dave! (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Actually, I think Tim's point is that the ship isn't scaled to the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. :-) Derek (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Doh! Yeah, I guess we don't know the question, after all. Sorry, Douglas! Dave! (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

(...) Does this mean that "What is minifig scale?" is the Ultimate Question Of Life, The Universe, And Everything? I always had a feeling Lego was somehow of greater importance... DaveE (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) It certainly seems to be one of your ultimate questions. ...and whole worlds have been built to try to find it. --Bram (20 years ago, 4-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Infinite Improbability Drive

Wow, thanks everyone for your feedback! It's good to be able to connect with other H2G2 fans out there. Ldraw is in the works and yes, Zaphod is cut and glued, but there was really no other way and I couldn't just leave him out now could I? Other (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
