If anyone here would like to write up a testimonial for either of these gents, please post it here before 11:59 PM (server time), May 17th. We will forward your testimonials to TLG on your behalf.

Best,
Nelson

Although I have never actually met Tim Gould, I feel that I know him pretty well. I can’t think of anyone else who has as many posts and responses on the LUGNET forums (possibly over 2,000 posts and responses.)

His LDRAW models and POV-RAY renderings are very well known throughout the LEGO Community, and I’m always amazed at his creativity in using odd parts to accurately resemble the real-life model that he is duplicating in LEGO bricks!

Tim has also been a member of the LDRAW Steering Committee, and has contributed greatly in the expanse of the digital LEGO brick. I have no doubt that many of the LDRAW tools and parts files that I use would not be what they are without him.

Though I can’t speak about his LEGO related activities beyond what I have seen online; what I have seen, in my opinion, makes him the best candidate for nomination to a LEGO Ambassador position for both the LUGNET Community and the LDRAW Community.

Good luck to you Tim, and many thanks for all of the great inspiration that your models and guidance have given to us!

Most Sincerely, Scott Wardlaw

Thanks very much, Scott. I'd ask that the following sentence be removed as it's not actually accurate. My contribution to the parts library and software side of LDraw has been very minimal. (...) And once again thank you. Tim (16 years ago, 17-May-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

(...) I hope this is not too late, but I would like to see Doug Eaton reinstated as a Lego Ambassador for the following reasons. Doug has done a good job distributing information or questions from the company to our club, Parlugment and the greater (...) (16 years ago, 21-May-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

(...) Thanks, Tim, but I respectfully decline the nomination. Since it is past the deadline, it seems that we have only 2 interested nominees here on behalf of the English-speaking side of LUGNET: 1. Edward "Teddy" Welsh 2. Tim "Gambort" Gould If (...) (16 years ago, 14-May-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)
