Note: The hole spacing for Znap beams is exactly twice that of Technic beams,
and the holes are exactly the same diameter as Technic beams.  The lengths
of Znap beams don't exactly measure to an integral number of studs, so I
am using the hole count to measure these parts.

Although your measurements about the beams are technically correct, from the
way ZNAP works, all of the units need to be as if they were Technic beams.
E.g. the 1x7 beam (based on your hole count method)is really compatible with
(the same as)the Technic 1x16 beam. The reason for this is that the 4-way hub
connects inside the usual border of the beam, but keeps the beam at the normal
(stud counting) spacing to the next beam (two studs distance, in this case).

Also, all ZNAP beams are square, with the same dimensions as a brick height
without the studs.

Hmm.  Actually, the cross-section of a ZNAP beam is the same size as one of
the newer Technic smooth-beams, or just slightly smaller than the standard
stud-pitch.

The hubs themselves have their centers at the same point a
1x2 Technic beam would have if placed between two other Technic beams.

This double-stud spacing c/should be considered the unit dimension of LEGO
-- as Technic-heads know, it is the minimum length at which the horizontal
size of bricks meshes with vertical size.  5 plates high = 2 studs.

So it should be *easier* to SNOT-build with ZNAP than it is with just
bricks.

The 4-
way hub will slip over the beams without a lot of play, enabling the beam to
be branched off anywhere along its length.

:)

Also the gray 2-way hub snaps into
the middle of the 4-way hub to create a 6-way hub.

Cool!  I hadn't noticed that!  :):)

I really like the hinge-hub.  That's a neat and useful part.
