I recently bought several ZNAP sets at the Albany, NY TRU. Here is a summary
of the sets and parts.

"Starter" Sets:  3501, 3502, 3503, 3504
"Medium" Sets: 3520, 3531, 3532
"Large Sets: 3551, 3552, 3571, 3581, 3591

Note: sets 3552, 3571, and 3591 come with a standard Technic 9V geared
motor, a large battery box, and several standard Technic gears and axles.
(Good value compared to the 8735 motor set!)

Parts:

Note: The hole spacing for Znap beams is exactly twice that of Technic beams,
and the holes are exactly the same diameter as Technic beams.  The lengths
of Znap beams don't exactly measure to an integral number of studs, so I
am using the hole count to measure these parts.

A number of the Znap parts do not have embossed part numbers. Those that do
are all in the range 322xx.

32229 1 x 7 Straight Beam
32225 Gearbox and motor holder
32214 5 x 3 Triangle Beam
322-- 1 x 1 Straight Beam
322-- 4-way hub
32207 Znap Crank
322-- 2-way hub
322-- Large Wheel
32221 Medium Wheel
322-- Small Wheel
32205 Horseshoe beam
32213 3 x 5 Space Grid
32208 1 x 5 x 3 Bent Arm
32218 3 x 3 Gothic Arch
32206 5 x 2 Half Octagon
32242 1 x 2 Quarter Octagon
322-- 4-way Slip Hub
32216 8 x 4 Large Quarter Ellipse
32248 2 x 4 Small Quarter Ellipse
32203 1 x 3 Straight Beam
32221 4-way Hub with Pedestal
322-- Flex Axle
322-- Axle 5.5L with Stop

The observed molding quality is medium. I notice a number of sags and ripples
indicating incomplete mold filling and too-early demolding.  The material
appears to be somewhat different than the standard Lego ABS plastic, with
generally a rougher surface texture.

(...) That's because it is made with POM plastic like the mini-fig hands. It is harder and more flexable. This was all in the officel Lego site press release way back when. -Lord Insanity (24 years ago, 23-Apr-00, to lugnet.znap)

(...) Bill, Although your measurements about the beams are technically correct, from the way ZNAP works, all of the units need to be as if they were Technic beams. E.g. the 1x7 beam (based on your hole count method)is really compatible with (the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.znap)
