Re: Quick comment on #8644 "Street Maniac"

(...) 8644 is the lightest of the four racers. Mine has occasional hydroplaning where the others don't. The other 3 are heavy enough to create adequate FRICTION with the tabletop. Mousepad works fine for the lightest (8644). Which I think is the (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

Quick comment on #8644 "Street Maniac"

I picked up each of the new 2005 small 'racers' sets at the MOA LIC on Saturday. They're cute sets, but my 8644 is pretty disappointing. When I push it across my desk here at work, two of the wheels don't even turn - they just slide. There is WAY to (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005)

  Vikings?

These were posted at EuroBricks, (URL) but someone put the pics on BrickShelf (thanks!)... (URL) set to castle although arguably vikings predate most castle stuff. There is some discussion at eb already about where these fit and why LEGO decided to (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jan-05, to lugnet.year.2005, lugnet.castle, lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates)

Re: Happy Holidays = LEGO under the tree

None for me :-( but my son (age 8) received the 8781 Castle of Moricia from Santa. Pretty cool for an 8-year old, but WAY juniorized IMO. While he's at grandma's this week, I think I'll show him how the gate-top arch POOP should be done. He's also (...) (20 years ago, 27-Dec-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.year.2004, FTX)

Re: Happy Holidays = LEGO under the tree

(...) Well, what I got, I put up for offer in my Bricklink store. Does that sound bad? I came up with a personal axiom for myself this past year, which is, "when you are in debt, you really own nothing." I am close to being free of debt, though - (...)
