Yeah.  How about:

   Martians

I actually have been meaning to post that after getting all the LoM sets (apart
from the big base, which no one seems to have found yet) I quite like the
martians, which surprises me, because frankly I expected to think they were
awful.

I am talking about a name for the whole class of figs, which would include martians, battle droids, and whatever else Lego comes out with in the future that uses this construction style. (...) I'm OK with the look of the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.year.2001)

I can't imagine that this hasn't been discussed, but I don't see anything on it. Now that the battle droid bodies are being used for the martians, I expect that they are here to stay.
