Re: Too late for the Kidvention?

(...) Sorry John, no taxation without representation. I don't recall getting an absentee ballot with your name or anyone else's on it, so you will have to wait for your successor's election to try to tax me. Nice try though. ++Lar (26 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

PNLTC invites participation in world record attempt

PNLTC officially invites clubs, and anyone else interested, to join our world record breaking attempt. Send us an "ambassador" box car, we will document it as a part of this historic event.   Re: GMLTC at the Kidvention Update

(...) I was taking our 9-3 based on what Heidi Bailey told me the entire display would be open. Have you checked it out? I don't know if there are reasons that they put us down for only those times or not. Just something to consider. I know with the (...) (26 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: GMLTC at the Kidvention Update

A very brief update: The GMLTC is working on a schedule for our time at LEGOLAND. With the number of people we're bringing out there, we should be able to staff the layout from 9:00am to at least 6:00pm each day, and maybe all day (9 to 9) on (...)   LDraw at the Kidvention Update

Hey everybody... Here's an update on the status for LDraw at the Kidvention so far: I sent off the artwork for the banner to the company (FastSigns) today, and they will get back to me soon on approval.   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) Haven't checked it, but I'm going on the principle that clone brands have printed items on their studs, and that we aren't saying 'LEGO' anywhere. I honestly do not believe this will be a problem. Just to be sure, I left Brad Justus a voice (...)   Re: We're on the itinerary!

We already have GMLTC shirts, through the work of John Neal. He is also working on ID cards for us all to wear, and banners with our logo and url to hang on or above the layout.   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) The ldraw.org site header logo *is* the text of the sign. It will be a HUGE rendering of the 2x3 brick on the site, with LDRAW detailed on the studs, and the words 'ldraw.org, Centralized LDraw Resources' in the same visual arrangement as the (...)   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) We at the GMLTC will be very sensitive about that issue. When we display the layout at train shows, we are very emphatic when asked (one of the most asked questions, BTW, right behind "how many bricks are there in the layout" and "how long (...)   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) Hey, that's kind of interesting from a community-strategic point of view... What you've got there with the signage is an opportunity to let people know -- or at least hint at -- the fact that LDraw is a fan-created and fan-run project/system (...)
