On behalf of LEGO fan organizations across North America, we would
like to announce our participation in the 2003 LEGO Road Show! This Road
Show centers around the company's core values by promoting open-ended play
and creativity, via LEGO's new Designer product line.

Unlike LEGO's truck tours of the past, the majority of this show will be
hands-on. A festival-in-the-park atmosphere will contain numerous play
areas. Kids will have the opportunity to interact with adult LEGO fans and
LEGO master builders alike.

LEGO Train Clubs and LEGO Users Groups from the select cities will be
working with The LEGO Company to make this event a success. LEGO has
designated a  "Community Area" for clubs to display models of their own
choosing, to enhance the experience for the guests. Having fan participation
at this level helps send the message to people attending that you really can
build anything with LEGO bricks!

Here are the cities and names of participating clubs:

Atlanta - NGLTC
Dallas - TexLUG
Toronto - rtlToronto
Boston - NELUG
Philadelphia - GardenSLUG
Chicago - NILTC
St. Louis - (none)
Denver - Legotics
Seattle - PNLTC/SEALUG/SMART
Sacramento - BayLUG

Dates for the event are still being finalized. Either I or another Road Show
volunteer will update you when those are available.

This is the first event featuring cooperation between The LEGO Company and
the fan community on such a large scale. It demonstrates the company's and
the fans' commitment to forging a relationship that is mutually beneficial.
All of us who participated in the Road Show planning are excited at this
opportunity!

We hope you will find time to come out and join the fun at one of the cities
listed above.

See you this summer!

Tim
Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club
