Yes, those do seem to be the hardest to come by when reconstructing the Diner

I believe the dog is available in one of the Duplo eggs.  The LEGO LICs or
Outlet stores may have some of these still on the shelves.

As a matter of fact, that is exactly where I got mine (in an egg at LLC).  I did
it with the idea of copying the Spamcake Diner-- that was back at the
Kidvention, summer of '00...

If anyone runs across any of these eggs, please go ahead and buy a bunch.  I
think that they cost around $3 each-- I'd pay for a dozen just to have them in
hand for any LTC that would want one.  Maybe I'll just have to give LLC a call
in the morn-- anyone have their number handy?

Risking bad form replying to my own post, I have found the set number to help
out anyone who is interested in trying to obtain one-- 2751:

Is LIC MOA out of them? You're close, that would be a good place to try if
you were there anyway.

I want one of these eggs if someone manages to score a bunch...

I wasn't aware whether they *ever* had any, but then again I don't get out there
too often.  I will call out there first, and if necessary, LLC as well.

Put us in the "me too" group, if extra eggs are scored we have the other
pieces to make, and would love to add a, Spamcake Diner to the Midsouth LTC
layout.

The LIC Orlando has a small (NEW?) Duplo boxed set in stock that contains
'the dog'.  I believe the set number is 14xx and has the dog, a Duplo fig,
and one or two other parts.  The retail was only a few bucks...
