Thanks for the great feedback so far. I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! I was waiting until the release of (URL) #5> to post this. So now that it's out I present. Pennsylvania RR #7688 (2 URLs) Pennsylvania RR #7688 was built by Lima Locomotive Works in September 1915. (...) The "new 8866 motor" is just the same motor as found in 9v RC trains that have been out for a year or so. The 8866 motor has a 9v-style connector on it, so the first thing I tried was connecting a 9v motor to the new motor with a 9v cable. No luck. Next, I tried connecting the 9v (...) 		The first competitor to Lego in trains has emerged.
Just a heads up. Sluban of China has just entered the brick train business. Their first locomotive is a Stephenson's Locomotive, one piece with sound box powered by 2 double A batteries. The locomotive is one piece. Track is plastic, rails the same (...) (15 years ago, 26-Jun-09, to lugnet.trains)

Our club lets kids run the controller for one of the lines when we do certain events (like, right now, with Detroit Festival of Trees), but we could use a way to forcibly limit the speed on the line that they're allowed to run.
