Hey, I reread your statement...your statement does not preclude your using
decals on copies you make of other people's creations...I hope that was not
your intent. (LEGO purist....scoff)

Hi Chris,

Most of the pieces for the Pillsbury car came from Freestyle sets.  If you
don't have blue parts, they also made many of them in red.  A Coca-Cola car
would look good too..

As for the purity statement: No intent there at all.  Some builders like to
keep their creations strictly Lego parts, decals, etc. (right Larry?)  ;-)   I
add decals but do not modify (cut, trim, sand) parts to make them work for my
models.  You find all kinds of builders here, and all have their own methods of
creating models.  I put that statement there because I felt a little 'guilty'
of having to use non LEGO parts.  I guess I was questioning my own 'Lego
purity'.  Maybe I should take the test from the thread a few weeks ago.  :-o

Hi Joe,

No, I did not mean your LEGO purity. I was refering to Larry's purity. He seems to
love to chime in on the purity issue. My feeling is that if you are not cutting
'em or painting 'em that is pure enough for me! (I did trim a
brick.....squirm...to attach a magnetic coupler to my stream liner
http://cmasi.chem.tulane.edu/~lego (I forget the direct link) I needed to get rid
of that little nub that sticks down on a 2x2 90° 2x2 plate...)

Your designs are great. Thanks for sharing them with us!

Chris
