As before, Matt has made another great addition to his Lego train_depot.

His model with the RCX in the boxcar may be just inspiration I need to buy
Mindstorms.  I like the idea of an autonomous train running around the tracks.
If you do this, do you open your 9v train motor and disconnect the wires from
the pickups connected to the metal wheels.  This way you could run multiple
trains on a single track without blocking.  Or I guess you could run it on 4.5v
gray track.  Plenty of ideas.  Any info on how long six AA batteris will run
the 9v train motor.  Yes, I'd guess it has a lot to do with how many cars you
pull, but are we talking 30 minutes or 6 hours.  This makes a big difference
when planning PNLTC events where our trains run continously for 8 or more hours
a day.

The Znap bridge looks good too.

And if lego is going to redesign the points, and Matt has some good ideas, they
need to be motorized!

I've added the following...

1. Pictures of my RCX built into a boxcar that I mentioned last week.
2. Pictures of a girder bridge made from Znap.
3. Thoughts about a new style of points.
