Do any of you like using this flexible track from LEGO? I just cant bring
myself to try it. I havent seen it in person, but from the pictures Ive
seen it appears to me to be more geared towards kids than rivet counters like
Larry and Cale... :P
Are any of you using it in your layouts? If so, do you like it?
|
Ive never tried it in a layout (I dont have a layout) but I always saw its
chief use as being single bits of track here and there to open up the range of
shapes in a full layout. Need a tiny bit of straight, use a flex. Need a tiny
curve, use a flex.
Running multiple in a row is bound to cause issues. And look ugly.

I agree with Tim. I think flex track can be useful for working out some
interesting track geometry but beyond that I dont have any use for it. I think
the idea of flex track was great and to be honest the LEGO actually came up with
a pretty clever way to do it. But the aesthetics of it and the marginal running
qualities are just to much for me to want to use it. Ill stick to the
standard track for now and maybe the new
ME Track in the future.
