Hello!
I have decided to add a 16'(or possibly 18') x 2' section to my current layout.
It will be along one of the walls in my layout room. This unfortunately means I
have to move my current layout tables over appx 8" to give me enough space to
walk while working on thie new section. I am still trying to figure out how to
do that without disturbing the layout. I am sure I'll be inventing new curse
words while attempting to move it.
Anyway, I have come up with a module idea that I think I am going to implement
for the new section. It is essentially two frieght lines, one trolley line and
one street with a back drop of facades and sidewalks. All leading to a small
train yard which will have at least a garbage transfer station and possibly some
other train related business.
Here is my planned module:

There will be appx 10' or 12' of this with the train yard being appx an
additional 6' long.
It is my first attempt at buildling in modules. I think I have a good plan in
place, but am going to try to watch closely at set-up time at NMRA in July for
other tips.
And, at this point, I plan on building all new buildings for this as well. I
have done the mock-up with two buildings I have built for NMRA.
Best,
Jonathan

| (...) This is exciting news, Jonathan, and reminds me of how the TCLTC layout got started-- section by section. I have only one suggestion to throw out to you for consideration-- how about building up 17 1/3 studs and putting in a ping-ponging (...) (18 years ago, 21-May-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)
