   To all,

Over the weekend (February 9th and 10th) ULUG participated at the Great Train Expo in Salt Lake City. >>> Here is the moderated Brickshelf

I would appreciate any and all feedback on how we can continue to improve.

How well received are things like the airplane crash and burning cars? I am just wondering if they might hit close to home for some people. (This is not at all a knock, I’m just curious)

Those were contributing by the TFOLS and it comes down to playing nice. I, too, wondered the same questions but I heard a lot of people say, “Look a plane crash!” with excitment in their voice about the find. I think the burning car was overlooked by most people who do not follow mecha. I didn’t hear any complaints personally or complaints received by other members.

That is good to hear. I kind of figured as much.

I love the skateboard guy! Reminds me of my younger days. (wearing casts from broken bones)

I’m glad you liked it. I called it a “Bench Plant” on the “I spy”??? Is that correct? I am not a skater and the closet “google” definition I could find was a “Street plant”.

I’m not to sure about what the term is for it. I am from the east coast and was skating well over 20 years ago . . . long before any of the skate terms made it across the country. (or at least to me and my peers). Also, I wasn’t co-ordinated enough to do any tricks or anything. I just skated for transportation before I got my drivers licence and, then again when I wrecked the car.

(...) Thanks. I feel there is a LEGO standard that needs to be maintained when it comes to train lay-outs. We are far from examplary but we hope to not disappoint. (...)
